This is Kite Theatre, episode 17. Now playing, Tuesday the 22 of August!

<lj-cut text="Continue reading: ''">

I've decided how my own funeral will go. You will all be witness to this event.

The entry music will be "Steve's Last Night In Town", which everyone will consider awkward. I will be cremated, so all that will remain of me are the ashes. They will be in a Folger's coffee tin. If it was good enough for Donny, it's good enough for me. My sister-in-law's father was a Folger's CEO, I am sure he can make this happen.

There will be a roast for me, given by anyone who has something bad to say about me. I expect all my friends to have prime material. When speaking of me, you must hold the coffee tin.

At this ceremony, there will be food and alchohol. And lots of it.

And cake and assorted pies.

It will end with my burial. None of this "place casket and walk away" shit. Shane will dig a hole, because he makes the fancy holes. It's his job. I will be planted, and a sapling will be placed on top. The atendees will then dance around said tree.
Posted by kite
</lj-cut>

Now playing, Wednesday the 19 of July!

<lj-cut text="Continue reading: ''">

Yes, this one is kind of dumb. Also, I worry that it's going to give people the wrong impression. In all actuality I drink on an amazingly rare basis, but it seems some of the better content does come from those times.

...though, really, this is not one of my favourites. The thing is, I worked a long time on a new model and wanted something with said model doing various things. As well, several people had asked for me to turn this scenario into a comic...well, I tried, I guess. It's not my best work ever, and we'll move on to new things.

At the very least, I like the new model. It's much closer to what I actually look like, while still retaining that "Kite Theatre" look I do so enjoy.

A few people have asked about the loopy lines, and I kind of mentioned that's how I've always drawn. Here's the thing. When I draw, I draw a BUNCH of lines, like 5 lines per every line I use. Then I choose my favourite and erase the rest It's worked out pretty well for me, and when drawing real things leaves an interesting sketchy quality to it that I like.

Also, I know it'd be really easy to get rid of the paint speckles all over the image, but I've actually grown rather attatched to them, and now consider it a trademark effect. Along with the titles that never quite match up and random typos also in the title (real typos go in the comic itself, fake typos go in title).

...also, that dish IS rather delicious, and does make a good desert. Try it.
Posted by kite
</lj-cut>

Even if that work only takes 20 minutes tops, that's work, am I right?

If the couple at the end looks familiar, there's good reason for that! Apparently the guy who works at Best Buy is married to a horse breeder, who knew.

If these comic feels like little more than a rant in comic form...maybe that's because it's been a while since I got to seriously rant. I'm having withdrawals!

I could go on about tired phrases, but I think this is enough for today.
Posted by kite
</lj-cut>
